1964 Jaguar 3.8 MKII

An up-date on the 1964 3.8 MKII Browns Lane Jaguar I acquired in 2015 (see the arrival and progress pics here). Oxford Blue, assembled in Coventry, England, it is one of the few original Browns Lane cars with matching numbers in South Africa. It has taken one and a half years to restore and six months to get it registered on the Natis system.

Off to get loaded on the truck to take for police clearance
Jaguar 3.8 MKII, manual OD, 64 000 miles, Oxford Blue, navy blue leather, factory fitted power steering and 72-spoke Chrome wire wheels. Great patina.

On the truck and ready to go for police clearance

Waiting to be polished

The interior cleaned up nicely

Side-by-side with another acquisition, a 1966 Jaguar 3.8 S -type
